Search Engine Friendly Pages

You should not make a web-site unless there are visitors that will come in to visit your site. A main source of traffic for most web-sites on the Internet is SE (search engines) like Google, MSN, Yahoo!, Altavista and so on. Therefore, if you make a search engine (SE) friendly web-site, you will be able to get better rank positions in search engines and get more visitors.

Search engines use programs called robots (crawlers) to index sites to list on their search engine results page (SERP). They can follow links to a page, read the content of the page and store records about it in their own database.

If you want your site to be indexed easily, you shouldn`t use frames on your site. Frames are confusing search engine robots and this can be even reason for abandoning your site. Moreover, if you use frames it is difficult for your visitors to bookmark a certain page on your website without using complicated scripts meant for that purpose.

Important information should not be presented in Flash movies or in images. Search engine crawlers only can read text from your source (HTML) code. So if you present important informations in Flash movies and images, it can affect your search engine ranking.

You should Use meta tags (keywords, description) on each page of your website so that search engine (SE) robots can at first glance know whether or not to index it and what that particular page is all about. Meta tags this way make the search engine (SE) crawler's job a lot easier so they can crawl and index your website frequently.

You should not use wrong HTML tags like <font> to style your web site and you should Use CSS (Cascading Style Sheet) because it is more effective and efficient. This way you can remove redundant HTML tags and make your web site faster to load.
